The point of training to be a commercial pilot is to get a job; your training is just a means to that end. We get that, which is why this programme is all about getting you employment.

How do we do that? There are three features to help you.

First, the training is what the airlines are looking for. We select and develop your ‘pilot competencies’. Without boring you with technicalities, the airline industry realised some time ago that it takes more than great flying skills to make a great pilot. They have analysed what ‘good’ looks like and identified nine core competencies a successful pilot must exhibit. In addition to the ability to fly an aircraft manually and using automatic flight controls, these include communication, workload management, knowledge, leadership and teamwork, problem-solving and decision making, application of procedures, and situational awareness.

The final Multi-Crew Cooperation course is amongst the first in Europe to meet the higher Airline Pilot Standard, designed by the airline industry to prepare you for your first type rating.

Peter Wood

First Officer, Flybe

“The Wings Alliance APC course really prepared me for my airline assessment and interview which resulted in me receiving 3 job offers. My total training cost was approx. £40,000.”

Second, we are aligned with airlines who take our graduates.

Finally, you are at liberty to apply to airlines who are not directly associated with the programme, but whom we prepare you for and welcome application from our graduates.

Graduates have already found employment with Flybe, Thomas Cook Airlines, Loganair, easyJet, Jet2, Ryanair and Stobart. So far, we are glad to say that 100% of successful graduates have found employment with an airline. We do everything we can to help our graduates into employment… it clearly works.

James Dawkins, Airline Pilot in Training

“I spent approximately £55,000 on my modular training.

The APS MCC course provides far more than a conventional MCC/JOC and gives you the valuable skills to not only ensure you pass your airline sim assessment, but to teach you the core skills which will set you up for the rest of your career.

The quality of the training is fantastic, you receive a well-structured package including one to one tuition and regular assessments. After already investing so much in my training, it made sense to choose the best option for the final part. I’m so glad I chose to do the Wings Alliance APS MCC course as I received offers from several airlines, passed my sim assessment and secured my dream airline job”.

Gareth Berry, First Officer Thomas Cook

“The Wings Alliance APS MCC provided me with industry-leading training and equipped me with the relevant skills to pass airline selection and transition into my type rating. I was most impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the Wings Alliance staff, who provided me with support throughout my training and presented me with the pathway to clinch my dream job.

I believe the Wings Alliance modular route eradicates the advantages traditionally held by integrated schools by substantially reducing the financial burden, allowing flexibility in your training and possesses an excellent placement record. My total training cost was approximately £40,000.”
